RV and Trailer Repairs

Keeping Your RV Running Smoothly So You’re Always Ready for Your Next Adventure Is Our Repair Team’s Primary Focus

Here at ARV, we offer a wide variety of services. Below are some of our most common repairs and what you should know to help keep your RV healthy all year round.

Estimates

Estimates are required for most large jobs and all insurance jobs. If we have scheduled you an estimate, simply bring in your rig. We will take pictures and notes and grab model numbers. You will then take the rig home. We will write up your estimate and schedule you an appointment for repair. Getting an estimate is free here at ARV!

Side Wall, Roof and Front/Rear Caps

Ensuring you get your sealant seams checked and resealed every six months, if necessary, is a crucial part of being an RV owner. Having your sealant checked ensures that we catch any leaking or water damage early enough that it doesn’t cause serious damage to the wood framing and paneling of your RV, but also to ensure your electrical stays dry.

Slide-Outs

Slide-outs are susceptible to dental problems. If the timing is off, gear teeth can grind, causing damage or motor malfunction. If your slide-out is skipping, banging, or uneven when extended, it is most likely a result of this. Slide-outs can also be susceptible to leaks due to the rubber seals cracking and falling apart if slide-out seals are not conditioned or lubed regularly. Leaking can also happen if the top of the slide-out collects debris. A slide-out topper is a great way to avoid leaks and debris.

Body Damage

ARV is well-suited for body repair, fabrication, and paintwork. Any body work will require an estimate before an appointment can be made.

Yearly Maintenance Service

We all know that giddy feeling you get when you’ve packed up your RV and hit the road for the very first trip of the season. We also know that utter feeling of frustration you get when you hit the road and find that your refrigerator isn’t working or your electrical is causing malfunctions. You can avoid the frustration and focus on that giddy feeling simply by scheduling our yearly maintenance before you head out for the season. This service will provide a thorough overall inspection of the health of your RV and its appliances. So you can hit the road hassle-free.

Roof Rebuilds

Is your RV in need of a new roof? ARV has you covered (pun intended). Our mechanics are not only wicked fast but also meticulous. Getting a roof replaced has never been more straightforward than here at ARV. Every roofing job will require an estimate before the appointment date to ensure everyone is on the same page.

Appliance Replacements and Upgrades

Has your refrigerator quit on the spot? Or did your AC unit decide to retire? ARV is here to help. We will find you a replacement. Or even an upgrade! Our mechanics take pride in making sure the work is done right, thus creating a healthier working environment so your appliances don’t up and quit.

Awning Replacement

Did the wind sail away with your awning? Well, you’re in luck. When it comes to awnings, we have been there, done that. Give us a call to schedule an estimate.

Window and Door Replacement

If you’re a victim of a baseball running through your window, fear not. ARV can get you a replacement and install it as well.

Towing

Do you have a motor home but no way of packing the family around once you’re at your destination? We have a solution for you. Bring your commuter car in, and we will fit you with the correct towing hardware. We believe in safety first and will make sure the job is done right so you can tow with peace of mind.

Brakes and Bearings

Making sure your RV has good brakes is a must for safety. In order to ensure that your RV braking system stays in good working shape, you must be sure to schedule an annual brake and bearing inspection (brake and bearing inspection included in our yearly maintenance service bundle). Checking the bearing grease must be done annually, even if the RV is not in use. Ensure your braking assembly is in good working shape at all times.

Antenna and Satellite Installation

Tired of watching the same four movies on repeat? Consider an upgrade. We can hook you up with satellite, so movie night becomes exciting again. We can even hook you up with not one but two TVs to work off one satellite. Now, the kids can watch separately from you, and you don’t need to suffer through another episode of “Paw Patrol.”

Plumbing

Making sure your RV is warm and cozy for the cold months is necessary. If water is left in your lines through freezing weather, the water in your plumbing will freeze, causing cracks and, in turn, leaks. Sometimes, little critters will want a part of the warm, cozy space and make themselves at home, gnawing at the pipes for water. This is why it is important to have your lines blown out before hibernation.

Electrical and Batteries

Your batteries are the heart of your RV. Batteries should be checked every year to avoid failure. If you have wet cell batteries, they should be checked and filled with distilled water once a month. Here at ARV, we can do a full electrical inspection to ensure that your batteries and all electrical are in good shape.

Furnace and Water Heater

Warmth is simply a necessity. If your water heater breaks or your furnace isn’t doing its job, fear not; we got the hots for this kind of work.

Air Conditioning (AC)

AC units are just the coolest! AC is just as important as heat; therefore, taking care of your unit is a must. Ensuring the gasket around the unit is up to snuff and that your batteries are good is key to keeping your AC unit cool.

Solar

Do you camp off the grid? We have some options for solar installations that can keep you charged for up to a week. Please schedule an appointment with us to discuss options.
